If you read yesterday’s post, you know that I’ve been busy organizing my home closets and shelves and have been using alphabet stamps to create fun quirky labels for some of the storage boxes. I happily placed stamped labels on boxes in two upstairs closets and on boxes on open shelves in my basement yesterday afternoon. All of the box surfaces were cardboard although some were repurposed product boxes (some glossy colored boxes and some just plain brown boxes) while others were new white shipping boxes.
This morning I checked on my labels and found that most were sticking well but the labels in one of the upstairs closets were curling quite dramatically like they were trying to lift their wings and fly off the box. Hmmm. What to do?

You know, I’m not sure I really get why spring is the time for cleaning house. To me, January is the month to get things organized, dusted and cleaned out. It just seems like a natural to take down the Christmas decorations and then straighten everything up. But just because you are cleaning doesn’t mean you can’t get your stamps involved right?

Ok, I have to confess something. I don’t have a smart phone. I’ve got an ancient flip phone – so old it doesn’t even have a camera in it. The darn thing is a workhorse though and works fine so I can’t justify upgrading. Maybe if I had a smart phone, I’d use it for my date book/to-do book . . . but maybe not. I tried using a Palm Pilot years ago for this and found that when it comes to this kind of thing, I honestly like an old fashioned paper date book best. And to be honest, if you use a digital date book, how can you stamp on it? (I do have my priorities!)
